Spring has Sprung!

Well, Spring is finally here. There is an exciting assortment of plants in the greenhouses that have bloomed or are blooming. I will showcase some of them here. This may be my last blog post, since we are soon to hire a new greenhouse manager!

 Ooh! Fancy Iris!
These are saxifrage from SE Asia. Very cool!
The avocado tree was flowering. We have no pollinators in the greenhouse, so I don't know if we'll get any fruit.
Papaya flower! Again, I don't know if it needs to be pollinated.
Well, I don't know what it is. For the last six months, I've thought it was Alnus. Judging by those flowers, it's not.
This is a tree or shrub that is outside. Again, I don't know what it is.
Wee little Trillium! This is the latest addition to the greenhouse collection. This species is known for its small flowers and small leaves.
Flowering lemon tree! They made the entire greenhouse smell sweet while they lasted.
As you can see, it is a Chrysogonum. Another new addition.
Aww....The little lemon is as big as my thumb.
Aww...wee little aquatic plant has a flower.
I would call these Coreopsis. However, since there is no label, I don't know for sure.

They Amaryllis are stunning!
